Fort Run PFWB Church
Welcome to Fort Run PFWB Church!
I'm Pastor Larry V. Turlington, Jr.

We're very happy you could join us today. We are a community of people who are on a spiritual journey together. We believe that this is the most important thing: that we can come together as one body of Christ and celebrate how God has worked in our lives. We're also a place where you can grow closer to God through worship, prayer, fellowship, and service projects.
Our worship services are filled with music, scripture, prayers, and sermons—but they're also filled with life and laughter because we know that even when we're singing praises to God, there's still plenty of room for joy in our lives. So, we hope you'll join us for worship this Sunday at 10:00 a.m. for Sunday School, or at 11 a.m. for the Worship Service & Sermon, or online during the week whenever it works best for your schedule!
We hope our services will enrich your life and serve as helpful reminders of how important it is for us all to understand ourselves better, as well as others. May God bless!

Why is Sunday School important?

Sunday school serves as a foundational discipleship strategy for all ages. It is vital because it provides dedicated time to learn the Bible, fosters a strong sense of church community, and translates core theological knowledge into practical daily application.

Unlike a traditional sermon, which is typically a monologue, Sunday school allows for interactive, two-way dialogue, Q&A, and in-depth study of Scripture.

Community and Fellowship: It breaks down large congregations into smaller groups. This environment fosters meaningful friendships, provides mutual support during difficult times, and creates a true "place to belong."

Spiritual Transformation: The ultimate goal of Sunday school is to help believers practically embody the teachings of Jesus, moving beyond just acquiring facts to changing attitudes, behaviors, and relationships.

Equipping for All Ages: For children, it instills a moral foundation and shapes their worldview early on. For adults, it provides equipping tools to deal with life’s challenges and to train parents on how to bring biblical principles into the home.

Sunday School models and encourages the study of God's Word. Studying the Bible not only helps hearers understand the heart of God, but also how to deal with life. Scripture guides wise decision-making and helps God's people stay strong and faithful when life is difficult. God desires to impress His words on our hearts so He is known. Knowing God's heart builds up lasting faith.
So join us every Sunday at 10 a.m.
