OUR MISSION The Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church Inc. is about people: People who have been redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ; people who are seeking daily to bring glory to the head of the Church, Jesus Christ, the Son of God. A church must place its doctrines, standards of practice, and policy within the grasp of its people. Our Church accepts all the major doctrines of evangelical orthodoxy, but we have a definite commitment to proclaim the doctrine of Christian holiness and the baptism of the Holy Spirit. We believe these are necessary experiences and provide the scriptural way of life for the Christian. The unregenerate desperately need a standard of human existence to benefit society. Let us provide the example in the united witness of faith in Christ through righteous living. What We Believe We believe the Bible to be the inspired Word of God. We believe that there is one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ; that Christ is the only begotten Son of God, and born of the Virgin Mary. That Christ died for our sins, was buried, and raised from the dead, that He ascended to heaven and is today at the right hand of the Father as our intercessor. We believe that ALL HAVE SINNED and come short of the glory of God. And that repentance is necessary for the forgiveness of sins. We believe that JUSTIFICATION IS BY FAITH, and that regeneration or the new-birth through faith is in the blood of Christ is absolutely essential. We believe in the SANCTIFICATION as subsequent to regeneration and is a definite act of grace; obtained by faith on the part of the fully justified believer. We believe that the PENTECOSTAL BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IS AN ENDUEMENT OF POWER FOR THOSE WHO HAVE CLEAN HEARTS, and the initial evidence of the reception of this experience is speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance. We believe that the saved should receive WATER BAPTISM, in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Ghost, as a testimony to the world that he has accepted Christ as Savior and Lord. We believe in DIVINE HEALING as provided in the Atonement. We believe in the SACRAMENT OF THE LORD´S SUPPER as commemorating Christ’s death and anticipating His Second Coming. And feet washing. We believe in the PERSONAL, PRE-MILLENIAL, SECOND COMING OF CHRIST; first, to resurrect the righteous dead and to catch away the living saints to meet Him in the air; second, to reign with His saints on earth a thousand years.
We believe in the bodily resurrection of BOTH SAVED AND THE LOST; the saved to life eternal, and the lost to everlasting punishment. Faith & Practices The Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church is a growing and expanding church with a rich heritage of Gods blessings. Our strength is in the profound impact that the Gospel message has on our lives and the testimony we live before others. It is our sole purpose to bring glory to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, as the head of the church. The official position of our churches doctrine and practice is presented in our book of Faith and Practices. The government, procedures, and expectations approved and established by the church are printed to assist all in their service to God. We take pride in that our doctrines are scripturally sound, and that through our history, we have emerged with practices and procedures that make it easy for people to serve God through the Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church. Decisions and directions found herein are the result of the combined thinking and action of the people. The laymen and minister, alike, are represented in every official action of the church. We move together in unity to accomplish all that God has called us to do. This book contains the voice of our people as they interpret Gods Will for His church. The major doctrines of the church are Armenian and Wesleyan in faith with a strong emphasis on holy living and the baptism of the Holy Spirit for every believer. The church is committed to proclaim and practice a holy life-style and the manifestation of the Holy Spirit. It is the conviction of this church that our testimony is most effective when each member is sanctified and empowered by the Holy Spirit. We endeavor to let our light shine through our living that others may see and come to know Jesus as their personal Savior. |
